Magazine style layouts
Attractive, colourful and engaging. Our drag and drop page editor is a breeze to use and allows non-techies to create amazing looking content. You'll pick up the basics in no time with the help of our video tutorial.
Easy media handling
Include slideshows, videos and photo galleries that everyone will enjoy. The image library makes it simple to upload images and even to crop them. The library also makes it easy to classify pictures or remove old photos.
Feature newsletters on the front page. This might be for one of those very cool Microsoft Sways, or a 'view in browser' link for an accessible email broadcast. Until they get made illegal we'll continue to support PDFs too*.
'Meet The Team' pages
Introduce visitors to school personnel with gallery of photos, names and job titles. An advanced version for governors also takes care of attendance reporting and declarations of interests.
We provide full compliance with the public sector accessability obligations now required by law. Our platform meets WCAG 2 standards and also has tools for checking content and images are accessible too.
Password protected pages
Password protection is a simple way of restricting access to certain pages or a path, without it being necessary to set up user accounts and special permissions. For strictly confidential material we also have private groups.
Content sharing with affiliated schools
Out of the box, content can be shared, synchronised and updated between related websites. Just tick a box for content to be shared. The rest is easy and a big problem solved for multi-academy trusts and federations.
Parental Web App
Our PWA can be installed without the need to go through an app store. So when visiting the school website on their phone, a parent can just add it their home screen and they are immediately connected.
Advanced document management
Keep track of PDF* files and policy documents so they are always up-to-date and free of duplicates. The document library is fully searchable and makes use of a COPE workflow. Create Once and Publish Everywhere.
Front page news
Promote content to the front page with newsboards, designed to get maximum attention. Latest news, noticeboard posts or important announcements such as a snow closure.
Dynamic rolling calendar
Optimised for mobile phones, the calendar updates itself with upcoming events. It's easy add diary dates and repeating events and also to synchronise with systems like Outlook, Apple Calendar and Google Calendar.
GDPR and cookie compliance
The law requires that visitors must provide explicit consent before non-essential cookie are deployed and that withdrawing consent should be as easy as giving it. We have this covered, but most providers do not.
Classes, departments and clubs
Classes and departments are organised as groups which have their own microsite and their own content. Public groups are open to all visitors, whilst closed groups are for members only, such as Governors or study groups.
Advanced software framework
Because we use great software, you'll find that managing your website is a pleasure. In fact our chosen framework is also used by Oxford and Cambridge, as well as Virgin, Royal Mail, TES, Pfizer, Tesla and even NASA.
